If you are planning repairs or renovating your current pond, the Long Island Fish Hospital offers a design consultation service to help get the job done correctly. Long before Dr. Tepper became a vet, he was a dedicated "ponder"! With years of experience in fishkeeping, he has a wealth of ideas about the many options for repairing or renovating a pond. New, state-of-the-art equipment options can often be fitted to existing pond systems to improve water quality or reduce maintenance time and cost.
Dr. Tepper has also developed a unique external sump system which
can be used to double total water volume without changing the shape of the original pond. This option is ideal for masonry ponds or ponds located in very restricted areas. It is also a way to accomplish these improvements without greatly disturbing existing landscaping. See the photos below which illustrate this system ↓
